About the role

Every Taraxis motor starts as a set of bought-in and machined parts: magnets, bearings, stator laminations, castings and machined parts, copper winding wire, PCBs and fasteners. You decide which of them are fit to build with.

You will set up and run inward inspection in our Quality & Testing Lab, work closely with Stores, and follow up with suppliers when parts fall short.

What you will do

  • Inspect incoming material against drawings, specifications and approved samples.
  • Measure parts with verniers, micrometers, height and bore gauges and other lab instruments.
  • Apply sampling plans and record each lot as accepted, rejected or on hold.
  • Run first-article inspection on new parts and new suppliers.
  • Raise non-conformance reports and follow corrective action with suppliers to closure.
  • Keep inspection records, instrument calibration records and supplier quality data.
  • Work with Stores so that only accepted material is issued to production.

What you bring

Must have

  • Diploma or BE / BTech in Mechanical, Electrical (EEE) or Electronics (ECE) Engineering.
  • 0 to 4 years of experience. Freshers are welcome.
  • Can read engineering drawings and use common measuring instruments.
  • Careful with records and comfortable with Excel.

Good to have

  • Inward or supplier quality experience in an engineering or automotive plant.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, sampling plans and 8D problem solving.
  • Experience with a profile projector, CMM or electrical test equipment.
